Mend to Move Physical Therapy provides expert care focusing on a technique called Fascial Counterstrain
Fascial Counterstrain
Fascial Counterstrain is a gentle and highly precise manual therapy that helps resolve pain and dysfunction by releasing trapped inflammation within the body’s connective tissues. This technique reduces pain, improves flexibility and posture, enhances tissue health, normalizes muscle tone, and supports optimal anatomical function. Whether you're struggling with unresolved pain, post-surgical tightness or movement limitations Fascial Counterstrain offers a safe and effective path forward with lasting relief.

What to expect on your first visit
Arrival:
Mend to Move Physical Therapy is located inside Nitroflex Gym in Chester, NJ. The treatment room is immediately to the left of the front desk. When you arrive please take a seat in the chairs just inside the entrance, and I'll meet you there at the start of your session.
After scheduling your initial session, you will receive an email with intake paperwork. If possible, please complete prior to your appointment
If your issue is chronic or involves multiple body regions, an initial double session (2 hours) is often recommended.
After Treatment:
Drink extra water.
Refrain from strenuous exercise or additional activities for 1-2 days.
If your injury is recent you may experience immediate and lasting relief.
For long-standing conditions, you should notice positive changes but releasing trapped inflammation in the tissues can result in temporary soreness or an increase in pain that can last for 1-3 days.
Mend to Move Physical Therapy operates as a cash-based physical therapy practice. Most NON-Medicare patients can submit in “self claims” to their insurance company for possible reimbursement. The amount reimbursed or applied towards your deductible depends on your insurance plan. When speaking with your insurance company, ask about coverage for “out-of-network physical therapy” services sent in via self claim.
Medicare patients: Mend to Move Physical Therapy LLC is not a Participating Medicare Provider. Due to federal regulations, I can only treat Medicare beneficiaries if they choose not to use Medicare or any secondary insurance for physical therapy. This decision must be voluntary and made in advance.
If you prefer to use Medicare for your physical therapy, I'll be happy to help you find a provider in the area.
